ArtInPlace Public Art Competition in Charlottesville, Virginia: Artist Application

Artist Application

Several locations around the City have been selected for public sculpture. All locations are in areas of high vehicular traffic. Although we are looking primarily for large works, smaller pieces need not be ruled out. Each installation will be in place from November to October of the following year.

This program of temporary exhibitions is designed to introduce residents to the vitality and value of public art. Every effort will be made to publicize the work with the local media.

Artists are asked to submit up to three entries. Please annotate all entries with title, size, material, footing requirements, and method of installation.
