ArtInPlace
The non-profit corporation ArtInPlace, under the sponsorship of the City of Charlottesville, has established sites around the City of Charlottesville, Virginia to make art accessible to the general public. The corporation sponsors yearly sculpture exhibits throughout the city and a 2 dimensional show featuring scenes around town.

Check out the new Bike Rack Design Competition sponsored by ArtInPlace and managed by Alliance for Community Choice in Transportation.

And stay with us as we look to the future:  ArtInPlace has sponsored a landscape design competition along the highways of Albemarle County.  The first garden was designed by the Charlottesville Garden Club and it is at the exit for Fontaine Avenue from the 250East ByPass.  More to come.

Image of El Patio at Baja Bean by Janet GrahameArtInPlace sponsors a yearly exhibit of two-dimensional work representing views of Charlottesville. Work is juried and awards are given for Child, High School and Adult Best in Show.

Work will be received at the McGuffey Art Center on Saturday, March 1, 2008 from 1-5PM.  All work will be on display from March 7 to March 30, with an opening reception for the artists Friday, March 7, from 5:30-7:30pm.
